Standard UniSlide have
a brushed aluminum finish; aluminum knobs have
a clear anodized finish.
Optionally, UniSlides may be cosmetically black
anodized, as shown here. To order black anodizing,
add "-BK" to the end of the model number.
In addition, black
hard coat anodized dovetail ways (base) are
offered. This increases the surface hardness to
Rockwell C-65 providing corrosion resistance similar
to stainless steel
UniSlides are also available
with electroless nickel plating,
as shown on the right. This yields a slick, smooth,
hard surface. Commonly employed in vacuum, food
