Left-Right Screw Motion
UniSlides
These slides are very useful for applications
where two objects must share a common axis of movement. Typical
uses for Left-Right UniSlides include centering or mating operations
in manufacturing, testing and research environments. See also, two
independently driven sliders below.
These unique UniSlides
incorporate two sliders driven by a single right and left-hand threaded
standard accuracy lead
screw. When the crank is turned, the sliders simultaneously
move toward or away from each other. A number of travel distances
are available for each size (Series); see chart at right. Input
your specifications. Not what you had in mind? Look to far left
nav. bar for more ideas, or call 800 642-6446 to
discuss your positioning equipment needs.

Series
A15 is 1.5" wide, A25 is 2.5" wide and A40 is 4"
wide.

Example 1: UniSlide® with optional revolution
counter for position measurement. When
combined with "B" lead screw, it measures slider separation
with 0.01" resolution.

Example 2: Another variant: two independently-driven
sliders on a common base
